 Serenity Shell Project

This ministry was inspired by the painted rock movement in our country and created specifically by ARC to help spread the word of Jesus Christ. A gift that keeps on giving! The idea is to decorate seashells, place a message of hope (bible scripture preferred) inside or attached to them( TIP: Cut paper the size of fortune cookie strips, laminated paper preferred, use clear packing tape on both sides of paper strip and trim edges.) and hide them in various safe locations. In order to brighten someone's day! You can use paint, nail polish, sharpies, etc., with a clear coat sealer for preservation. On the back of the shell or write in Sharpie "Post a picture to FB: Serenity Shells- Myrtle Beach, SC". You can write "Keep me or Re-Hide me!" for the finder to keep for themselves or leave for someone else to find. Please be respectful of others property and businesses and obey the laws.

ARC Serenity Shell Project starter kits and basic kits coming in Feb. 2019

White Dove Project

With the COVID-19 pandemic quickly spreading through our neighborhoods, we understand difficult times are among us all. Our life, as we know it, has been changed indefinitely due to this crisis. Many are enduring hardships, some more than others. We are being separated from our families and friends in a time when we need them the most. We have loved ones in assisted-livingfacilities, hospitals, and other places where no visitors are allowed. We, ourselves, are sheltered, and some are in mandatory lockdown. This, for some, can be lonely at a time when love and compassion means the most to many.

We at ARC Ministries (Artist reaching for Christ) want to share our love and compassion during this time, through our newly-founded “White Dove Project”. We will be sending a small gift to those in need, in hopes to spread a little sunshine and bring a smile to someone during these difficult days. We will begin sending out as early as next week.

The packages will contain a small works of art (5x7 or smaller) donated by a local artist, along with a letter and personal hand written note or card to the individual who will be receiving it. Any artist that would like to participate should contact Wendy Shelley at wjshelley08@yahoo.com

Our first focus will begin in the immediate areas of Horry County (where allowed) in the nursing homes, assisted-living facilities, hospitals (if possible), and the elderly. We have worked closely with many of these facilities over the years, as we stand dedicated. Home health workers will be a great vehicle for us. We will not limit to these areas, and we will expand as resources allow us. Our hope, in the near future, is to be able send to individuals that are home alone, kids in special situations, detention facilities, etc.

Our plans are to send these gifts/packages through the mail or with individual employees who are willing to carry them for us. We are making sure we take sanitary precautions in doing so, through disinfecting all items in the packages and handling each item with clean gloves.
